in three sections, with each part being made up of groups of (mostly) three voices, hence the title. i guess you'd call it 'minimal' in style: repeating motifs layered against and out of sync with each other, lots of interlocking contrapuntal lines, but very rhythmic and upbeat and rounded off by a jig.
