phase quartet

Pure minimalism, based on the earlier phase works of steve reich. One rhythmic motif in 11/8 moves out of sync with itself, beat by beat, and gradually builds up from two to four voices. The music works through the process - resulting in some gorgeously rhythmic patterns - until the voices are eventually back in sync.
