childhood memories

nursery rhymes are rudely interrupted by darker material, including a fast-moving, percussive, repeating pattern in 4/4, straight-jacketed into triplets. in the central section the percussive pattern is pitted against itself, but a few beats out of sync and now in 4/4. the nursery rhymes make a comeback though, but don't manage to overpower the repeating pattern.
